Young High Sheriff - Winners Event at Rugby High School for Girls

Celebrating the Young High Sheriff Competition Finale !

What an incredible event to mark the finale of the Young High Sheriff competition !

Back in September, we invited secondary school students across the Borough of Rugby to apply for the opportunity to become **Young High Sheriff for a Day**. The response was phenomenal, with students sharing outstanding ideas and remarkable enthusiasm.

Their crime prevention initiatives have been truly inspiring. Many of these ideas will now be developed into workshops to address key issues that matter to young people today.

The winners’ event was a shining example of community collaboration. A heartfelt thank you to Mark Grady, Head of Rugby High School, for hosting this special occasion.

We were honoured to welcome a distinguished audience, including:

- Representatives from the Lieutenancy, including four Deputies
- Former High Sheriffs
- The Mayor of Rugby and a former Mayor
- The Police and Crime Commissioner & Deputy Commissioner
- Warwickshire Police, High Sheriff Cadets, and local councillors
- Heads and leads from participating schools
- Most importantly, the participants and their proud families

A huge congratulations to our winner, Sophia ! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who participated, attended, and supported this incredible journey. Together, we are making a positive difference in our community
