Presentation event to Street Aware project supported by Warwickshire Crimebeat
The Street Aware schools drug and alcohol educational programme is designed to help young people in Warwickshire build their resilience to enable them to make safer life choices with regard to substance misuse and risky behaviour.
With the support of Crime Beat funding the Street Aware programme has this year launched a successful Youth Ambassador Scheme.
A group of young people aged 16 to 19, have been trained to OCN Accredited levels on substance misuse, this enables the youth ambassadors to go into schools and the community to deliver peer lead education.
The latest instalment of funding from Crime Beat was presented by the new High Sheriff of Warwickshire Richard Samuda, who is a trustee of the Kenilworth based Charity, their aim is to create safer communities and a better environment for us all to live and work in. The cheque was received by Sevenco Training CIC Directors together with some of the youth ambassadors that have successfully completed their training.
The Ambassadors have already delivered their important work to over 5,000 young people in the last year.
