Crimebeat
The High Sheriff specifically supports Crimebeat, a long-standing tradition of the Shrievalty in Warwickshire. Crimebeat offers funding for community projects designed and developed by or for the young people in our community. This is a charity whose mission is to encourage young people (aged between 5 and 25) to get involved with crime reduction activities. They make their own contribution to prevent crime, improve the quality of life and create safer communities. A wide variety of groups and projects receive small grants each year. Find the application form on the site.
The High Sheriff fund is the other focus for fundraising. Endowed by previous High Sheriffs and the repository of fundraising activities, this fund, Managed by the Heart of England Community Foundation. Warwickshire based charities working to help build society here can make applications via the Heart of England. The High Sheriff is able to make awards to organisations whose work they have been witness to during the year.
